Birthday Parties

The total party booking is 2 hours and 15 minutes, and the activity and food take place in our Mess Lab.

You can choose slime, glow, or pet adoption as your party activity.

You're welcome to arrive 15 minutes early to settle in. The first hour is open play, and we close the Mess Lab about 30 minutes in to prepare it for your party. Guests then come in for the activity (about 30 to 45 minutes), followed by food and cake (about 30 to 45 minutes), with 15 minutes at the end to pack up. Timings flex a little with the group's engagement.

Yes you can. Bring a cooler for anything that needs refrigerating, as we do not have a fridge available.

Every guest needs a signed waiver before participating. We'll share a link you can pass along to your guests so everyone can sign ahead of time. Our system will link all waivers to your profile so we can easily see who signed during drop off.

Yes, we'll reach out about a week before your party for an approximate headcount. You can continue to update it any time before the party, but no need to stress if there are any you are not certain about, we will do a final check once everyone has arrived.

Yes! Through July and August, birthday parties are available on Saturdays only, since our weekdays are booked with camps.

Your party takes place in our Mess Lab. Here's a look at the space:

Your party package includes up to 12 child guests plus the birthday child. Only one birthday child is free, so for a double birthday the second child counts as a guest. Additional children can be added for $15 + GST each, or $20 + GST each for the Pet Adoption experience. Every child taking part in the activity (glow, slime or pet) counts as a guest. Children under 2 who are not taking part are welcome to join a sibling for free.

The party room comfortably holds about 30 people. We allow up to 20 children (including the birthday child) and recommend no more than 15 adults in the room at once. There is no charge for adults, but if your group is larger, some adults may need to wait just outside the room. It gets cozy past these numbers, so we appreciate you sticking to them.

Your party has its own dedicated room for the experience (glow, slime, sand art or pet adoption) and for the food and cake portion. During the open play part of your party, all of our rooms are open for everyone to explore, so that time is shared with other guests whenever open play is running.

Please bring anything you need for your food: dishes, utensils, napkins, a knife, serving utensils, and tablecloths if you would like them. If you are having cake, bring your candles and a lighter. We provide three rectangular kitchen-style tables that each seat six to eight people.

We do not have a fridge or freezer available for guests, so please bring a cooler if you need to keep anything cold.

Yes, there are electrical outlets in the party room you are welcome to use.

The party room is not decorated, so you are welcome to bring your own. You can hang decorations on our three large white wardrobes (side by side, about 12 feet wide in total). We ask that you do not tape anything to our walls or curtains, and that you do not hang banners across the wardrobes, as we often need access to the cabinets. Free-standing decorations like balloons are a great option. Pinatas are not allowed.

No, sparklers are not allowed.

The birthday family may arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before their booking start time. Please do not come earlier, as we are with other parties and cleaning. When you arrive, you can bring your things in for storage until it is time to move into your party room. Please note we have no fridge for guest use, so bring a cooler to store food or cake if needed.

At the end of your party, you have 15 minutes to take your things out of the party room. We ask that you do so promptly, as we have other bookings throughout the day and need to clean all rooms and close by 5:15 pm.

If illness or bad weather comes up, we can reschedule your booking to another available date. If there are no upcoming openings, we can look at booking a day that is otherwise full, though this carries a $50 charge, as our party host would be working overtime to accommodate you. Parties cancelled with 30 days notice or more are fully refunded, less a 5% service charge. Parties cancelled with 8 to 29 days notice are charged 50% of the booking fee. Parties cancelled with 7 days notice or less are not refunded.

We open party dates a few months at a time, so if your child's birthday month is not showing yet, it simply has not opened for booking. You can join the waitlist for that month and we will let you know as soon as dates are released. Feel free to reach out if you would like to plan further ahead.
