About the Course
Get ready to dive into a holiday wonderland crafted by the imaginative minds behind our S.T.E.A.M. children’s program! This joyful event is designed for kids aged 3 to 10, offering a delightful blend of holiday cheer, hands-on discovery, and festive fun. Come explore Christmas-themed sensory play, process-based art, holiday games, and interactive activities that spark creativity and warmth.
A sampling of the fun in the Mess Lab includes:
- Santa’s Bake Shop (playdough bake shop with all the fixings)
- Adopt a Snowman (create your own snowman out of model magic dough and adorn with your own set of fun snowman accessories - this is a take home item)
- Christmas Tree Painting (add your creative touches to our paintable artificial Christmas tree)
- Pretend hot chocolate sales stand (dramatic play experience)
- Variety of dry and wet sensory play options
There will also be a variety of activities throughout the other rooms, as well as some hosted activities with our Play Ambassadors.
Tickets for an enjoyable Christmas-themed slime making activity are available for an additional charge. The activity will take place during the event and is expected to last approximately 15-20 minutes. All necessary instructions and materials for creating the slime will be provided. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in this do-it-yourself (DIY) activity in a designated room, separate from the Mess Lab. While the recommended age for participation is 5 and above, parents are welcome to assist younger children (aged 3 and above) in making the slime, although they may end up doing most of the work. The slime created can be taken home in a high-quality jar.
One full priced ticket includes one child and one adult. Additional adults/siblings will need to purchase a ticket of their own. If you plan to bring a sibling along that is over the age of 1, they will need a ticket for this event. Please note that this event is not geared toward children under 3, and there may be small objects within reach.
PLEASE NOTE
- We will be using messy materials in one room - so please dress accordingly
- There are no characters at our events (we tried this in the past, and many children were scared)
